| Hey all! No one reads this :P But I decided to post anyway. Now I have honestly started training for NOLS. I postponed it until this summer and still not certain as to how to pay for it. Over Christmas break I worked at the UCF bookstore to earn some extra money, I spent most of it on Christmas presents and books. As for training, I still out of shape but eating better and started running 30 min straight every day. I got a locker at the school gym and stocked so I'm doing everything I can think of to prompt to me to go to the gym and train. I have 4 classes as usual but this semester 3 of them are poli sci. Politics of the Middle East, Politics and Government of Great Britain, and International Relations. Int. Rel. so far appears to be a joke course, wish I was taking it with Dr. Sadri, my Middle East prof. He is really tough, intense, and intimidating but really really good and sorta funny. Wears the worst ties though, in my humble opinion. Lots and lots of reading. Wed. I get tested for ADD. Haven't told Mom yet. I will tell her when I get the results. I'm taking Theatre History and Dramatic Lit 2. My friends are split up between the two class times, so I attend both . McCoy doesn't mind and my peers think I'm crazy. McCoy is great he wrote me a 'swell' recommedation and puts up with me for two classes, and better yet he is 5'3" :P. I moved over break because my roommates were that bad. My new roommate Elianna, is great. We both have renewed our leases so she will be my roommate next year too. When I moved out I didn't tell my old roommates :P. They weren't around to tell. Molly and Meghan are my best friends. Meghan is engaged. Mom got married to Eric. Sean and I are cool again, he tends to piss me off. I lost a cousin over break. Man a lot has happened. Dad visited me for the first time since I graduated high school. It was alright, he did let me give him the 3 dollar tour of campus and bought me stuff for my apartment. Well I have go work on an IRA (internet research assignment) for Sadri's class. | | |
| This up coming week is Midterms. I have two and a take home. I have been cast in a show for the One Act Festival. It's called "Circus Spectacular". I get to learn circus tricks and be thrown in the air. So far I've been having a lot of fun in rehearsals. I had to quit my job due to a scheduling conflict. No burned bridges and a lot of free time. I actually have a homework assignment I want to do! Wierd. It is a target market research of where I want to move after college. So pretty much I have to get the scoop on Seattle/Portland (I can't decide). What theatres are there, the cost of living, transportation, and other practical things. I also get to look up fun stuff, making this project personal, for instance I want to rock climb so I get to find all the rock climbing gyms and locations in the area and I get to look up Washington and Oregon states homeschooling laws and adoption policies. The project is planning for the long term. I got accepted into NOLS. I have to figure out how to afford it though, which isn't going to be easy. I started training for NOLS. I am so out of shape and I hate running. I like to lift weights and am working on lifting more, longer. For the NOLS course I will be carrying a 50-60 lbs back pack day in and day out for a month. I only weigh 100 lbs. I haven't found a weight lifting machine that works on back muscles. They mainly work on your arms and then one muscle group in your back. So I need to find some back excercises. I might be able to graduate within four years. I wasn't expecting that because a previous advisor told me to aim for 4 1/2 to 5, and that was before I was a double major. So senior jitters are starting to set in. Well I'm gonna get back to homework and finish painting my room. | | |
